3rd June JP Morgan Round the Island Race, Isle of Wight, UK
This 50.2nm race around the Isle of Wight is one of the biggest yacht races in the world, with well over 1,000 entries each year and over 10,000 people participating.

10th-11th June Geneve - Rolle - Geneve, Switzerland
More than 200 boats take part in the traditional warm-up for the Bol d’Or the following weekend. Raced in the Petit Lac of the Lac Leman nearest Geneva.
          
17th-18th June 2006 Bol d’Or, Geneva, Switzerland
This 80nm race starts from the heart of the city and with over 600 entries, 3,000 people, it is the largest race on a closed body of water in the world. There is live radio coverage as well as extensive television and press interest.   

7th- 9th July Kekszalag, Lake Balaton, Hungary
’The Blue Ribbon’ the oldest lake race in Europe with 400 entries competing over the 110Nm course on one of the Continents biggest stretches of water.
                 
August 2007 Cowes Week, Cowes, UK
World famous race week with 100’s of boats competing in the challenging amphitheatre of the Solent with its notoriously tricky tides.
               
August 2007 Tjorn Runt, Nr. Gothenburg, Sweden
This 28Nm race is Sweden’s premiere West Coast event run in the style of the UK’s Round the Island Race, with just under 1000 entries.

August 2007 Hollenderseilasen, Norway
Starts near the village of Son in Oslo fjord. 400-500 boats last year.

September 2007 Trofeo Gorla, Lake Garda, Italy
50Nm precursor to the Centomiglia, where all the contenders compete for the Gorla Bowl
           
September 2007 Centomiglia del Garda, Garda, Italy
Famous amongst the country’s 1 million boat owners for its strong thermal winds. Over 50 years old the race attracts 400 competitors and a large amount of media attention.   

September 2007 75th Mrduja  Race, Croatia
The most popular race in Croatia, raced out of Split with an entry of 250-300 boats.

5-8th October 38th Barcolana, Trieste, Italy
The highlight of the city’s sailing festival. 1800 boats compete in this the largest of the Mediterranean events.

October 2006 Les Voiles de St Tropez, France
This event formally known as La Nioulargue is the traditional curtain closer in the exclusive Mediterranean racing circuit. The classes include a Modern IRC class, a Classic boat class and a Spirit of Tradition class.
